My Sick-Free Day is Over

I have been sick for about the past week. We finally found out what it was! Some weird stomach bug that Kathy had last year. For three weeks. Great. Just…great. I woke up today, rushed out of the house as usual, and then on my way to school I realized I wasn’t sick. It was great to feel back to my old self. No pains, nausea, or hunger! Just started working on studying a few minutes ago….and I felt a stab of that crap.

I have been noticing that lately, things haven’t been going my way. I have gotten some bad grades on homework, quizzes, and one test. There is this guy who is being really mean to me at school, and Mac hasn’t really been talking to me lately. Or texting me.

The only good part of my day was during chorus. The first like forty minutes was a study hall period waiting for our sub to get out of a lunch duty thing, so since Mac and I sit next to each other, we just started to talk. We talked about some boys, rings (funny story…), and school. I asked her why she wasn’t texting me lately and if she was avoiding me. Her parents are having some uhh issues. Her dad took away her phone for some stuff her mom let her do. Which wasn’t really that bad. So we planned to have a Hungar Games marathon next weekend. We are gonna make Puppy Chow and some gluten-free Fried Dough! I’m so excited!
This week is Spirit Week at our school for Homecoming and the big Homecoming Game where its students vs faculty members. Monday was pj day so I didn’t really have to change. Just brush my hair, brush my teeth, and put on some makeup to cover a little scar under my eye (from running into a wall in the dark). Tuesday was gramma and grandpa day. But the school rules are: if you don’t dress up, you go back to uniforms. So I didn’t dress up like a gramma. I dressed in a plaid shirt and some jeans and walked past the principle’s office and was like What are YOU gonna do about it?! Today was twin day, where you and a friend/friends dress up exactly the same. I did it with three other people. It was super fun. It was a chapel day though, so we had to have our lanyards on us to get checked in. I forgot mine. AGAIN. This was third out of four infractions. My mom got an email from the school saying I have to miss the next casual dress day.

This happened last year. I remembered that I wasn’t allowed to wear casual dress. Like I would miss a casual dress day. I dressed up anyway and just made sure to duck whenever I passed the office. That is my new strategy. Tomorrow is Ugly Christmas Sweater, and mine has evil gingerbread guys on them. They are pretty intimidating. And they make me hungry.

Have a great day,

~Lara ❤ (man I gotta get used to typing in Lara instead of Annie. I typed in Annie the first two times..)

  1. Haha I’m glad you managed to avoid being caught!! It sounds like an interesting week – I’ve never experienced a week like this, so it’s exciting to read about. And I’m glad you’re feeling better now, being sick is horrible ❤ xx
